Birding Group Visit to Pennington Flash : 25th March 2014

On another wet Tuesday the birding group’s planned visit to Frosdsham Marsh was rescheduled and we went – again – to Pennington Flash. The highlights were my first Sand Martins of the year, good numbers of Goosander and, although we did not manage to see it, we had prolonged singing from a Cetti’s Warbler – just near the Tom Edmundson Hide. It was loud and clear and totally unmistakable.
