Titchwell Marsh RSPB and Hunstanton Cliffs

This was our last day at the cottage before heading homewards so we decided to have a last look at Titchwell RSPB where we, at last, managed to get a year tick Little Gull. After that we went to the beach at Hunstantion and then returned home to pack our bags.

The Little Tern was the only new bird for the year that we saw at Titchwell but it was a lovely, sunnny morning with very little wind. All the usual birds were there and one of the Little Gulls was still showing well. A flock of Common Gulls was a holiday first and we got three Spoonbills and both Little Ringed and Ringed Plovers. We aslso got a couple of Common Sandpipers so it was a very pleasing visit to round off our Norfolk holiday. A brief walk on the beach at Hunstanton Cliffs gave us a last view of the small Fulmar Colony and back at Thornham we heard our last Norfolk Cuckoo.
