A great bonus here for us was the sighting of both Marsh Harrier and a ringtail Hen Harrier &#8211; while we were having lunch ! The latter was a &#8220;year tick&#8221; We added a Kestrel to our &#8220;birds of prey for the day&#8221; list \u00a0but also on the marsh were Skylark and Meadow Pipits and a Little Egret and a Curlew.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We continued on down to Burton Mere Wetlands where the Canada Goose domination continues. The usual Black-tailed Godwits were there and plenty of Teal and all the usual suspects. We managed to get another bird of prey for the day in a Buzzard. As we walked around the back of the fish pond we got a Chiffchaff, a Treecreeper and a Nuthatch all on the same dead tree.
