It wasn&#8217;t a great birding day but, such is the current Covid 19 situation, I still managed to get a couple of year ticks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>It is hard to imagine but I saw the first Nuthatch of 2020 and first couple of Song Thrushes ! Although it wasn&#8217;t a year first, we also saw a small group of the first Redwing we have seen this autumn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We went for lunch at the Leigh Arms and that was nice and quiet. We rather thought that it might be our last pub for a while and it turned out to be the case as, shortly afterwards, Manchester was put into Covid Tier 3 and then on the last day of the month it was announced that the whole country was going back into total lockdown in November.
